Would you like to play an active role in shaping your personal development and professional career? Then you have come to the right place.
From a private bank with a tradition spanning more than 220 years, clients can expect exceptional services: highly personalized advice, individual solutions, independence of thought, and a pragmatic approach.
And that is also how our employees see it. They are searching for something special. They want an environment that they can actively shape, with transparent processes, clear structures, and interesting tasks, and where mutual respect is written large.
At Hauck & Aufhäuser, the hierarchies are flat and proximity is key. The focus is on the personal element. You know who your colleagues are, both in the different departments and at the other corporate sites. You also regularly meet our management in the bank.
At Hauck & Aufhäuser we have generalists and specialists. Both are important – and each has its place. The compact size of our bank means that one area of work might be covered by a small number of colleagues; they need to have a large range of skills at their disposal. Project work, however, requires specialization and in-depth knowledge. Ultimately, a combination of general skills and a deep grasp of details are key to the success of our company. In other words: we employ specialist all-rounders.
In addition to an attractive fixed salary, we offer you the opportunity to share in the success of our bank.
You are not only important to us as an employee, but also as a person. As well as safe and secure, we want you to feel happy working with us. That is why we have developed a comprehensive package of social benefits for you:
Often, it’s the small things that determine whether you feel comfortable at work. This includes a central location with an excellent transport system, contributions to capital formation, or the opportunity to choose between lunch in a canteen or receiving lunch subsidies. Flexible working hours that allow you to coordinate with your manager and colleagues when you come and go also help make the working day more enjoyable. Our bank offers you all of this and more.
We offer more than just a standard contract with collectively agreed benefits. The collective agreement for the banking sector comprises a range of components, such as thirty days paid vacation and sick pay supplements. This also applies to employees who are outside the collective agreement system.

Do our values and philosophy reflect the way you think? Then you should get to know us better. We offer challenging roles for specialists with extensive professional experience, such as in client advisory, corporate finance, or portfolio management. Our credit operations and controlling units also offer interesting prospects.
We offer excellent career opportunities with outstanding development potential to young professionals and graduates who have already gained some hands-on experience.
Would you like to play an active role in shaping your personal development and professional career? Then you have come to the right place. For Hauck & Aufhäuser, employee advancement is of the highest priority – we see it as an investment in the future of our bank.
We offer a range of training programs tailored precisely to your needs. Our skills enhancement programs include in-service training courses, bachelor and masters degrees, and certifications. Through our links to the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, we also have access to a range of seminars geared toward professional and personal development.
Intensive fostering of young talent through a dual study system enables theoretical basics to be conveyed in a practical manner, and makes way for the creation of further potential. Additionally, our series of expert talks, “Sharing Expert Skills,” in which H&A specialists speak about current issues, creates a platform where we can learn with, and from, one another.
We at Hauck & Aufhäuser know all about young talent – they already work for us. They only need to show themselves, be discovered, and be given opportunities to advance, such as through our intensive young talent program. This program aligns with our corporate values and is designed to foster professional and, above all, personal development.
Language courses and language workshops also provide our employees with the opportunity to develop their language skills in order to rise to the challenge of internationalization in the bank. Personnel development activities specifically geared toward leadership levels enable us to continuously enhance and expand our knowledge, leadership skills, and professional expertise.
In large corporations, individual employees are often just small cogs in the wheel with very limited duties. At Hauck & Aufhäuser, on the other hand, I have much more freedom, a high level of responsibility, and the opportunity to make a difference.
Katja Knipping, Corporate Communications & Marketing
The range of clients and their requirements are constantly growing. A small bank like ours frequently faces new challenges. The whole team meets these challenges together.

Over 500 individuals work at the various Hauck & Aufhäuser corporate locations. In addition to Frankfurt am Main and Munich, we have further German branch offices in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Cologne/Bonn. Furthermore, our Group has been operating from the financial center of Luxembourg for more than forty years – with a branch office and the subsidiaries of Hauck & Aufhäuser Investment Gesellschaft and Hauck & Aufhäuser Alternative Investment Services. We have been providing specialist services for ethical/sustainable investment in Zürich for over 20 years, and, since 2011, through our subsidiary, Hauck & Aufhäuser (Schweiz) AG. We also have representative offices in Paris and Zürich and one branch office in London.
The employees of the bank cooperate closely with the various subsidiaries on tasks and projects. Many of them have been working for the bank for ten years or more – an extraordinary degree of continuity that clearly reflects how we live our corporate culture. In recent years, we have been able to attract many younger employees to join our experienced colleagues.
We consider individuality to be a strength and believe that our role includes the promotion of diversity. Our bank’s employees come from more than 20 nations and from all corners of the globe. Flexible working hours, special training programs, and needs-matched workplaces are just a few of the ways in which we provide the right work/life balance.
Supporting individuality and promoting cultural diversity is essential for fostering a vibrant corporate culture and developing all-round expertise. It is absolutely key to creating the best solutions for our clients.
